Overview
The Senior Category Manager : MRO & Fleet is responsible for effecting the most appropriate procurement processes to optimise the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to Omnia Group across a Global span at an acceptable level of supply risk, in accordance with all related policies. The Senior Category Manager will ensure alignment of Procurement Strategy and execute relevant KPI's in area of responsibility.
Their scope of work is Global and for the Omnia Group and will be defined by a set of spend categories allocated for their management. The Senior Category Manager : MRO & Fleet will be responsible for executing the procurement strategy for MRO & Fleet raw material spend. This will involve an in depth understanding of the market, supplier sourcing, risk and performance management. Analysis of current procurement expenditures, business needs both current and future, and supply markets should enable the Senior Category Manager to develop optimal sourcing strategies for review and acceptance by business and Chief Procurement Officer. The Senior Category Manger is responsible for attracting, retaining and engaging preferred suppliers, on terms and with relationships that are favourable to the company at competitive costs, appropriate service levels and risk exposure. The Senior Category Manager will establish relationships with internal customers. As part of the TCO analysis, the Senior Category Manager will question and review all elements of supply and demand, to understand internal needs and motivate innovative solutions for all elements of the TCO model.
Responsibilities
- Global scope for the Omnia Group and will be defined by spend categories allocated for management.
- Execute the procurement strategy for MRO & Fleet raw material spend; involve in-depth understanding of the market, supplier sourcing, risk and performance management.
- Analyze current procurement expenditures, business needs (current and future), and supply markets to enable development of optimal sourcing strategies for review and acceptance by business and Chief Procurement Officer.
- Attract, retain and engage preferred suppliers on terms and with relationships favourable to the company at competitive costs, appropriate service levels and risk exposure.
- Establish relationships with internal customers; as part of the TCO analysis, question and review all elements of supply and demand to understand internal needs and motivate innovative solutions for all elements of the TCO model.
