Seafreight Forwarding and NVOCC Manager

Our client is looking for a specialist seafreight leader to spearhead their seafreight forwarding and NVOCC department.

With 8 direct reports and a growing team, you will be responsible for the following :

• Managing the forwarding desk in Johannesburg Sea freight division.
• Managing and overseeing the forwarding operations and carrier bookings with the forwarding operations team.
• Manage, maintain, and maximise NVOCC groupage boxes.
• Groupage & LCL Volumes.
• Manage and oversee the freight movement of cargo.
• Reports.
• Market Intelligence.
• Products / Sales.
• Managing Service Providers.
• Management of NVOCC Seafreight channel.
• Financial Management.
• Cost sheet level sign off.
• Comply with the requirements of the quality management system.
Requirements :
• Matric.
• NQF5 preferable.
• Minimum 10 years experience in seafreight within clearing and forwarding.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar management role.
• ShipShape experience advantageous.
