Support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives, including teaching, research, innovation, curriculum development, work‑integrated learning, and service‑learning activities.
Job Purpose
To support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include teaching according to a set syllabus; undertaking research and innovation; contributing to curriculum development and design; engaging in work integrated learning and developing service learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lecturing subjects within the IT curriculum to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Participating in curriculum development, courseware development, and assessment.
- Performing appropriate academic and administrative duties in the department.
- Participating in quality‑assurance activities of the department.
- Managing undergraduate research projects and contributing to research.
- Integrating community initiatives and community interventions into the curriculum.
- Developing and maintaining linkages with industry and professional bodies on cooperative education, new techniques / technologies, and research projects.
- Assisting with marketing and recruitment activities, including planning for Open Day and providing information on faculty courses.
- Ensuring compliance with safety rules and other administrative functions as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Demonstrating strong organisational, planning, administrative, technical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Showing a strong learner focus, coaching skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Multimedia Technologies, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant undergraduate qualification in the same field of study.At least two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience in higher education.Expertise in technologies related to multimedia, such as programming languages (C, C++, Java, Kotlin, C#, Scala or any statically typed language), storage technologies (DBMS and NoSQL), computer algorithms, data structures, build tools (Maven, Gradle, Ivy).Relevant industry experience and exposure to program and curriculum development.Strong research methodology skills and proficiency in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Big Data.Closing Date : 02 November 2025
