In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient conceptualization, planning, and delivery of exceptional events that meet our business objectives. Below is some of the main responsibilities and requirements for this position :
• Key Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and deliver exceptional physical, virtual, and hybrid events from inception to completion, ensuring they run smoothly, meet client expectations, and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage all project budgets, ensuring accurate preparation, cost efficiency, and compliance with financial, governance, and brand standards.
• Oversee event logistics and operations, including administration, communications, event risk management, and resolution of issues.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, customers, senior staff, vendors, and suppliers; manage procurement, contracts, sourcing, and negotiations.
• Develop and implement engagement campaigns, desk drops, and any other staff engagement projects, ensuring alignment to business objectives.
• Analyse and report on event performance post-implementation to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide innovative, proactive solutions to enhance event impact and continuously seek opportunities for personal development.
• Support the Head of Events in achieving strategic business objectives.
• Willingness to travel and work after hours as required by events.
• Min Qualification and Experience :
• Diploma in Events Management with 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with a solid understanding of project management principles.
• Proficiency in relevant software packages, including RSVP management tools and virtual event platforms.
• Demonstrated experience managing event budgets over R1m.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and event risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
