Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Information Technology, will deal with the management of all administrative work of the Information Technology Department.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the logging, assignment, follow-up and closing of support tickets using the IT Service Manager databaseAssist Department HOD’s with the creation, maintenance and flow of Information Systems documentation relating to User Entitlement and Access Control in accordance with audit requirementsEnsures that IT policies and procedures are applied and in compliance with broader company policies and audit requirementsSuggest refinements to policy and procedure where improvements can be madePrepares and tabulates information into reports as required for finance and other departmentsManages the document filing system, paper and electronic in accordance with agreed naming conventions and systemsSuggest new and creative ideas to improve the service delivery of the Information Systems departmentAssist with record keeping and maintaining the IT inventory of hardware, software and other resourcesFollow up and report on correspondences with suppliers and other departments improving the communication flow with these partiesAssists with and works with vendors and contractors to ensure equipment and services procured are installed and meets requirements and specificationsMonitor and report on the day to day resort systems and data centre facilities and functions, including but not limited to DSTV Decoder Status, Environmental controls access control loggingSupport other departments with technical issues being careful to refrain from assuming responsibility for other department’s issues.Provide basic troubleshooting support to the Guests and Resort StaffManage an inventory of office supplies requesting supplies as requiredGenerate Requisitions for approval for Office Supplies and IT equipmentBe fully aware about all health and safety, fire and emergency proceduresResponsible to report any potential hazardous situations within the work place.Applies to and adheres to rules and regulations as per employee handbook, departmental and resort policies and procedures, including those for the emergency situationsDevelop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s mission, vision and valuesAt all times to project a favorable image of One&Only Cape Town and One&Only Resorts to the publicPractices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort’s guestsEnsures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the South African Law.Performs other reasonable duties as assignedSkills, Experience & Educational Requirements
Minimum of one year experience in the Hospitality industryA background in Information Systems will be a distinct advantageA general understanding of hardware and softwareAn understanding of Networks and System SecurityAbility to think clearly with a logical thought process and a persistent nature that will get the job done, Whatever It Takes (WIT)Fluent in written and spoken EnglishTo be able think clearly under pressureShould be positive and flexible to different duties and able to work shifts.ICT jobs
