Introduction
The Operations Resource Planner is responsible for analysing and forecasting staffing needs across multiplebranches in the Operations department. The role involves ensuring that each branch has the right number ofskilled employees at all times to meet operational demands, while optimising efficiency and maintaining budgetguidelines.
Staffing Planning :
Develop and maintain staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage of all shifts and operational requirements
for each branch.
Work closely with branch managers and department heads to forecast workforce needs based on
operational volumes, trends, and seasonal fluctuations.
Analyse historical data, staffing levels, and operational performance to provide insights and
recommendations for improving staffing strategies.
Create, manage, and update staffing schedules for each branch to ensure compliance with operational goals
and labour laws.
Ensure optimal staffing by monitoring absenteeism, employee turnover, and other factors that may affect
staffing requirements.
Collaborate with HR and branch management to ensure timely recruitment, training, and onboarding of new
staff members.
Monitor labour costs in relation to staffing levels, ensuring alignment with the overall budget and
profitability targets.
Generate regular staffing reports, including staffing levels, scheduling efficiency, and any issues or challenges
that need attention.
Identify opportunities for streamlining staffing processes and improving overall workforce productivity
