Job description

Responsibilities

  • Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Liaising with Production teams
  • Overseeing the fabrication team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
  • Managing resources, optimizing equipment utilization and control costs

within the press shop.

  • Managing machine maintenance schedules and tool requirements
  • Monitor and report on machine utilization and efficiency
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance management

    • Requirements

  • Matric
  • Own transport
  • Boiler making / Welding as an advantage
  • Able to work long hours and under pressure
  • High energy levels and self-motivated
  • Reliable transport
  • Good communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with team members)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in press shop work environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Forman
