Job Purpose
To provide leadership, coordination, and oversight of business applications at Rosebank College. The role ensures that systems are embedded into operations, business processes are optimised, and users are empowered to maximise value from digital tools. In addition, this role carries team leadership responsibilities, overseeing application support resources, mentoring staff, and ensuring effective coordination with both internal stakeholders and ADvTECH Group IT.
Duties & Responsibilities
Business Process Optimisation
- Analyse and map cross-functional business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements supported by existing applications.
- Ensure system functionality is fully leveraged to streamline academic, administrative, and student-facing workflows.
- Partner with business units to align technology use with operational and service delivery goals.
Application Oversight & Service Delivery
Serve as the senior escalation point for application-related issues at Rosebank College.Oversee and coordinate resolution activities with support staff, vendors, and Group IT.Monitor application usage, service performance, and adoption metrics, ensuring high levels of reliability and user satisfaction.Ensure compliance with institutional standards, policies, and service delivery requirements.People & Team Leadership
Provide leadership and direction to application support staff (direct reports, dotted-line resources, or vendors).Allocate and oversee workload, monitor progress, and evaluate performance.Mentor staff in system support, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement.Build a collaborative culture that prioritises service excellence and continuous improvement.Change Enablement & Adoption
Lead change initiatives by helping departments adopt new or improved processes supported by applications.Ensure staff and students are aware of updates and can adapt effectively.Act as a senior advisor to departments on how digital applications can best support their objectives.Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary contact for Rosebank College stakeholders on application-related matters.Facilitate service review sessions with departments to capture needs, prioritise enhancements, and track outcomes.Build strong collaborative partnerships with Group IT teams to ensure alignment and support.Continuous Improvement & Insights
Monitor and report on system performance, adoption, and process efficiency.Identify trends, recurring issues, or gaps and propose practical, sustainable solutions.Provide insights from system data to inform business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications & Experience
Minimum :
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Informatics, IT, or Business (NQF 7).5–7 years’ experience in business applications, business analysis, or process optimisation roles.Demonstrated experience in leading or managing teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.Ideal :
Postgraduate qualification in IT or Business (advantageous).Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP / CCBA) or Project Management (PRINCE2, PMP).Proven experience in process optimisation, stakeholder management, and digital transformation leadership.Skills & Competencies
