Mid-Level Interior Designer | Permanent, On-Site in Cape Town

I need to be honest with you, we have posted job adverts before. We've interviewed dozens of candidates who looked great on paper. And we've learned that qualifications and experience do not always tell us what we really need to know.

Because at Xperiencemakers, we're not just designing beautiful spaces - we're pioneering neurodesign principles that actively support human nervous systems and well-being. That requires a fundamentally different mindset.

What we're really looking for :

Someone who genuinely understands that "how you do anything is how you do everything."

We need a mid-level designer with 5–7 years' solid experience who doesn't just tick boxes - someone who communicates clearly without being chased, who takes ownership of their work, and who sees spatial planning as problem-solving, not just drawing lines.

Someone who doesn't need to be taught the fundamentals of professional practice : responding to emails promptly, thinking ahead, asking the right questions before problems arise, and balancing creativity with commercial reality.

What you'll actually be doing :

• Developing Revit models, technical drawings, and elevations with precision and care
• Managing FF&E sourcing, specifications, and procurement processes
• Co-ordinating with suppliers, contractors, and craftspeople
• Supporting site co-ordination and ensuring projects stay on track and on budget
• Contributing to presentations, mood boards, and client-facing materials
• Working within existing systems whilst helping refine and improve them
