This role forms part of the Finance team at The Bay Hotel, within the Village n Life hospitality group.
The Role
As Creditors Controller you’ll manage the full creditors function, from supplier invoice processing and reconciliations to payment scheduling and compliance. You’ll ensure accurate financial controls, support audits, and work closely with managers to keep our creditor accounts in order while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper coding and compliance
- Perform weekly and monthly supplier reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Prepare and load supplier payments on banking platforms in line with agreed terms
- Maintain accurate creditor age analysis and prevent duplicate or late payments
- Ensure VAT compliance on all supplier invoices and maintain strong internal controls
- Support annual audits with comprehensive creditor files and respond to queries
- Assist with supplier credit applications and ad-hoc creditor-related requests
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Creditors ClerkHospitality industry experience requiredProficiency in Sage Evolution and MS Office (intermediate to advanced)Familiarity with Lightyear and Nedbank processing an advantageStrong organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesA proactive team player with excellent communication skillsWhat We Offer
