Cloud Solutions Architect - Parktown

About the Role Our client, a leading organization based in Parktown, is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions. This role focuses on infrastructure architecture, not software development, and requires a deep understanding of Azure, DevOps, and Terraform within enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure-based cloud infrastructure in line with business and security requirements.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated deployments.
• Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines and automation processes using Azure DevOps.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure operations, including networking, storage, identity management, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure system reliability and compliance.
• Optimize cloud performance, cost, and scalability through continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices for cloud governance, disaster recovery, and security.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and documentation for infrastructure projects. Minimum Requirements :
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect (infrastructure-focused) with a strong emphasis on Azure, DevOps, and Terraform.
• Proven experience in designing and managing Azure environments, including networking, storage, and identity solutions.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI / CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing Azure resources.
• Strong background in cloud security, governance, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with data engineering principles and integration within cloud infrastructure.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer) Key Competencies Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
