Purpose of the Role
The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of operational activities, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with company objectives. This role will be central to coordinating resources, monitoring workflows, and maintaining effective communication across departments and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily operational activities and support the Operations Manager.
Manage scheduling of employees, equipment, and resources to meet project and site requirements.
Assist with the implementation of operational systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation (e.g., timesheets, purchase requests, tool lists etc.).
Support logistics and transport coordination, ensuring resources are available when required.
Communicate with internal teams to ensure service delivery standards are met.
Assist in problem-solving and escalate issues to management where necessary.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations function.
Communicate with employees regarding their work assignments and site placements.
Oversee activities within the yard, stores, and facilities, ensuring projects are carried out effectively.
Supervise the packing of containers and ensure accurate preparation of packing lists.
Manage deliveries to stores and verify that items are distributed correctly and in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) and relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years experience in operations, administration, or coordination role (preferably within engineering / manufacturing industry).
Strong knowledge of SHEQ requirements and operational procedures.
Computer literacy (MS Office Suite essential; experience with Intact software will be advantageous).
