Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following :
- Meet with clients to discuss their needs, ideas, budget, and project requirements.
- Create initial designs, sketches, and layouts for buildings and sites.
- Prepare detailed blueprints, specifications, and construction documents using hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ensure designs adhere to building codes, zoning laws, public health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Project Management
- Determine and manage project costs and deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineers, construction professionals, and project teams.
- Prepare and submit planning applications and obtain necessary permits from regulatory bodies.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress, ensure quality, and resolve any design-related issues that arise.
- Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with engineers to integrate building systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing into the design.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and other stakeholders.
- Draft and manage bid documents, contracts, and other agreements with contractors.
