We are looking for a committed Physical Therapist to act as the patient’s partner throughout the journey of restoring motion, reducing pain and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will work in an outpatient setting alongside physicians skilled in pain management, sports medicine, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, primary care, chiropractic and massage therapy. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment intervention, and rehabilitation. You will coordinate care with the patient and supervise physical therapy assistants and aids to help provide efficient services.
Responsibilities
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ motion, pain and mobility
- Work collaboratively with a team approach in a multidisciplinary practice
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment, in order to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Evaluate effects of treatment and monitor and communicate progress
- Appropriately document patient care provided
- Supervise and oversee the care provided by Physical Therapy Assistants
Qualifications
Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of UtahGraduate degree or greater in physical therapyProven work experience as a physical therapist preferred.Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and medical problemsCurrent knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices and required documentationDrive to continually learn and growProfessional behaviorExcellent interpersonal communication skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
