Job Description
Our client in the Hospitality and Catering industry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly returns, submitting these timeously in the prescribed format in accordance with company standards.
- Process supplier invoices, liaise with suppliers, and resolve queries.
- Manage accruals and prepayments relating to Accounts Payable and reconcile petty cash.
- Reconcile and balance cash, floats, and dockets, ensuring that these tally with daily income and expenditure.
- Prepare monthly journals.
- Process, reconcile, and collect debtors.
- Notify management immediately of any variances identified.
- Ensure all documentation for the receipt and issuing of commodities is accurately completed.
- Inform management of any shortages, surpluses, or irregularities and ensure that queries are handled promptly.
- Ensure that petty cash vouchers and relevant documentation are securely and systematically kept.
- Ensure that control systems are operating effectively within agreed parameters.
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with good to Advanced Excel SkillsProficient in Pastel AccountingMinimum of 1- 3 years' experience in a related role with a solid track record Accounts / Finance within the Hospitality Industry.Matric is a minimum requirement, but a further qualification is a bonus.Valid RSA ID#J-18808-Ljbffr
