Position Information

A global powerhouse in Professional Services is seeking an experienced tax professional to take the reins of their international tax function. With a presence across key global markets, this organisation delivers cutting-edge tax, compliance, and consulting services to a diverse multinational client base. This role sits at the heart of strategic decision-making and tax innovation, reporting into the Johannesburg Head Office while offering full remote flexibility. You’ll lead and influence a multi-entity tax function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that thrives on transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Tax Advisory : Draft comprehensive, technical tax opinions on complex cross-border matters, including treaty interpretation, transfer pricing, and controlled foreign companies (CFCs).
• International Tax Planning : Advise multinational clients on structuring, M&A tax planning, and Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) compliance.
• Tax Dispute Resolution : Engage directly with SARS, prepare legal submissions, and represent clients in disputes.
• Thought Leadership : Contribute to industry discussions, write technical articles, and deliver in-house training on global tax trends.
• Client & Practice Development : Build strong client relationships, deliver strategic advice, and drive the growth of the international tax service line.
