We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician with a strong foundation in computer systems, networking, and technical support. Skilled in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system installations, and providing user support to ensure smooth IT operations. Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic IT environment, with a strong desire to contribute to efficient technology solutions and reliable service delivery.
- Provide first-line technical support to staff via email, phone, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers and other IT equipment.
- Install and update operating systems, applications, and security software.
- Report recurring issues to IT office manager.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure all equipment is properly documented.
- Assist in network cabling and tracing of cables if necessary.
- Uphold IT policies, proccedures, and security best practices.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic networking knowledge of networking.
- Problem-solving and identifying new solutions.
- Able to multitask effectively between resolving support tickets and assisting end users.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical problems to staff members.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Matric or Similar.
- A tertiary qualification in any IT-related field.
- IT related certification or diploma (e.g., CompTIA A or equivalent).
- 2 years previous working experience as an IT Technician or a similar role.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own vehicle for travel to sites and offices.
