Functional Buyer

As the Functional Buyer , youll play a key role in managing the strategic procurement of technical components and materials working hand-in-hand with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure optimal cost, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for technical, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to understand product specifications and ensure accurate sourcing.
• Evaluate, source, and negotiate with both local and international suppliers to achieve best value and quality.
• Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance supply efficiency.
• Conduct supplier audits, evaluate technical capability, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Support forecasting, inventory control, and ERP data accuracy for smooth procurement planning.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies to support innovation.

Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or a related technical field (essential).

Minimum 58 years experience as a Buyer in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering environment.

Technically strong with analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
