Description :

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a Chief Safety Officer to join their mining operation based in Mpumalanga. As the Chief Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization.

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Provide leadership and strategic guidance in all matters related to safety and health.

Oversee safety training programs and ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.

Monitor and analyze safety performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Investigate incidents and accidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into the organization's safety programs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.

Requirements :

Grade 12

Degree / Diploma in Safety Management

SAMTRAC and COMSOC 1 & 2

SO45001 & 14001

5 years' experience in the mining industry (Coal Preferred)

Valid Driver's License

Closing Date 01 September 2025
