Job descriptionB. Tech / Degree in Occupational Health and Safety / Environmental Health Science. Computer literacy in Office applications. Five to seven years’ relevant work experience. Registration with the relevant professional body. Middle management experience. Managing the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting sequences of outcomes associated with plans and programmes designed to accomplish key service delivery objectives and statutory requirements related to the provision of a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety programme for the Metro and its employees with the OHASA, COID, Nursing, Medicine, and Related Substance Acts. As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment. Fringe benefits will include membership of a Retirement Fund, Medical Aid Scheme, Group Life Assurance Scheme, participation in a Housing Subsidy and Car Schemes (subject to the conditions of the various Schemes), and normal leave and sick leave benefits.
