Requirements :
- 57 years proven bookkeeping and payroll experience (tourism industry advantageous but not required)
- Bookkeeping / Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree).
- Proficiency in Sage and related accounting systems
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of tour operator / reservation systems (advantageous, but not required)
Responsibilities :
Financial ManagementFull bookkeeping function, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Payroll administration, statutory compliance including relevant tax requirements, and financial reportingSupplier reconciliations (hotels, Travel partners, service providers)Bank, cash, and credit card reconciliationsClient payments, deposits, and refundsCash flow monitoring and forecastingPreparation of management accounts and financial reportsAudit readiness and support for external auditorsImplementation of strong internal controlsPayroll & Tax ComplianceMonthly payroll processing, including salaries, overtime, and commissions
Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL, and statutory submissionsMaintain accurate and confidential payroll recordsSubmission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returnsCollaborate and oversee corporate tax submissions and compliance with tax advisorsTeam & Operations SupportCollaborate with reservations and operations teams on tour-related costs and margins
Provide financial insights for decision-makingTrain and supervise junior finance staff where requiredHow to apply :
