Overview
Norman Goodfellows is looking for an IT Administrator to join our Cape Town team.
The IT Administrator will provide first-line technical support and assist in maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software and network issues
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, printers and other peripherals
- Assist with user account management (e.g. email system access, password resets)
- Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and ensure software updates and patches are applied
- Support the IT team with server maintenance, backups and network monitoring
- Document IT procedures and user guides
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary
Requirements
A diploma or certificate in Information Technology or a related fieldBasic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and networking conceptsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesPrevious experience in an IT support role (internship or entry-level) is advantageousBenefits
