Responsibilities
- Inventory Management : Ensure processing of items including goods in transit, cycle counts and physical stock to system matches, stock takes, addressing shrinkage and overall stock levels; ensure efficient stock flow to the sales floor; participate in managing shrinkage and assist with stock ordering as needed to maintain correct stock levels in FMCG, Health and Beauty.
- Sales Floor & Receiving : Assist with planning, implementing and maintaining promotional stock displays; assist with labeling, pricing and layout standards; assist with goods receiving duties; support transaction integrity for incoming goods and outgoing returns; assist with reconciliation of daily ZMove Packs according to Receiving policies.
- Sales Targets : Assist in achieving store sales targets, partner with heads of departments to ensure targets are met, support promotions, coordinate with other stores to share knowledge and plan promotions, monitor market trends and competitive activity, propose strategies to maintain inventory levels and profitability, and contribute to regional retail strategies for traffic and profitability in FMCG, Health and Beauty.
- Point of Sale Operations and Finance : Assist with daily cash-ups and reconciliation paperwork, manage POS area scheduling for efficient service, monitor store expenses and stock adjustments to correct GL accounts, assist in analyzing financial statements, support transaction integrity and cashier performance, and assist with audits and reporting between store and departments.
- Customer Service : Assist with addressing customer complaints and requests, ensure customer request system is operational, encourage loyalty signups, process loyalty points accurately and provide customer feedback on queries and complaints.
- HR Process Support : Assist with people administration (leave management, scheduling, staff files), facilitate HR processes and documentation, manage workforce data, assist with HR policy delivery and system implementations, and collate training feedback.
- Trainee Programme Adherence : Participate in meetings and learning opportunities, assist managers with on-the-job tasks, complete required learning programs and assessments, file and sign off Portfolio of Evidence with Regional Admin Manager.
Qualifications
Essential : Grade 12 / Matric; 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management disciplines (stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service); computer literacy (MS Office); willingness to work retail hours; valid driver’s license; own reliable transport.Advantageous : Diploma in Financial / Admin or a relevant 3-year Diploma.Competencies
