The Manufacturing Technician-in training at Blue Cube Systems specializes in assembling precise electronic instrument panels. From integrating panels into larger systems to conducting functional tests, the technician plays a key part in maintaining high standards of reliability. The in-training role will also assist the storeman and gain exposure to stock control and logistics.

What You’ll Do

• Clean & Hazard-free Manufacturing Environment : Keep production areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
• Manufacturing Department Administration Assistance : Provide general office administration assistance to the manufacturing manager.
• Stock Control : Receive, check, and record stock deliveries.
• Stock Control : Conduct testing and quality checks on incoming stock.
• Stock Control : Pick and verify stock for manufacturing.
• Stock Control : Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Stock Control : Capture stock movements in the system (e.g., Unleashed).
• Stock Control : Assist with regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Stock Control : Liaise with Accounts on invoices and stock queries.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Assemble enclosures, rails, trunking, and related components.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Ensure accurate and timely assembly to quality standards.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Perform QA tests on units and sub-assemblies.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Document assembly details and maintain product records.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Update drawings and documentation with approved revisions.
• Mechanical Assembly, QA and Record Keeping : Report and communicate potential delays to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Logistics : Packaging, Dispatch & Coordination : Oversee packing and dispatch of goods.
• Logistics : Packaging, Dispatch & Coordination : Prepare packaging, labelling, and shipment documents.
• Logistics : Packaging, Dispatch & Coordination : Take and file photos of consignments.
• Logistics : Packaging, Dispatch & Coordination : Coordinate collections / deliveries with couriers and drivers.
• Logistics : Packaging, Dispatch & Coordination : In absence of the storeman, verify that all relevant documentation accompanies the consignment on dispatch, e.g. shipping labels, invoices, packing lists, and any other necessary paperwork.
