Country Operations Director (Ride Hailing)

The client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Operations Director for new ride hailing operations in the South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the countrys ride-hailing services ensuring efficient and profitable operations while scaling the business in a dynamic and competitive market. This role will require strong leadership strategic vision and a deep understanding of the local ride-hailing ecosystem to drive growth and operational excellence.
Objectives of the Role :
- Develop and execute the operational strategy for the Companys ride-hailing services in the South Africa in alignment with company goals.
- Ensure efficient smooth and scalable operations across all areas of the business including driver and rider experience fleet management customer service and partnerships.
- Drive business growth by expanding market presence enhancing customer satisfaction and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Regional Director to set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that contribute to overall company success.
- Lead a high-performing team ensuring strong recruitment training and retention practices while promoting a culture of excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
At least 7-15 years of experience in operations management preferably in the ride-hailing transportation or logistics industries.Proven track record of leading large-scale operations driving growth and optimizing business processes.Strong leadership and people management skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.Deep knowledge of the ride-hailing market and local regulatory landscape in the South Africa.Excellent strategic thinking problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong understanding of data analytics operational performance metrics and financial management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders.If this role sparks your interest feel free to reach out to Kevin Chong ()for more details .
