As a Superintendent : Instrumentation , you will be responsible for :
Facilitate daily meetings with the team to plan, manage, and delegate workPlan and ensure timeous procurement of sparesTrack all labour hire timekeeping and authorize before submitting to the engineer for paymentManage contractors and all resources during shutdownsManage artisan standby roster and ensure personnel are available for standbyManage safety within the section by completing PPE and toolbox inspections, actively participating in the SHEQ process, and participating in SHEQ AuditsEnsure that all maintenance work is done and managed in support of the factory maintenance strategy.Meet with the engineer daily to ensure priorities are set for the day and weekDeploy labour to attend to breakdownsManage workshop budget for consumablesComplete on-site inspections to monitor progress of jobs and standard adherencePerform inspections on jobs to ensure quality work is completedEnsure that the Plant modification system is adhered to when requested to effect any changes to plant or machineryEnsure that housekeeping in workshops and oil stores is maintainedManage Calibration equipment, specialist tools, and consumables storeEnsure that all procurement is done in accordance with company policies (quotes, etc.)Overinspect all work done by contractors to ensure quality and valueParticipate in Root Cause Analysis sessions as and when requiredComplete overtime and standby as requiredEnsure that all SAP administration is maintained as per the roles and responsibilities matrix, and ensure office administration is maintained and kept up to dateImplement Preventitive Maintenace Stategies to increase Uptime of plantsHigh level Instrumentation DCS System Support (Profinet / Profibus / Hart)Effective Shutdown PlanningEnsure Critical spares stock is maintained on SAP to mitigate plant risksWhat are we looking for?
NQF level 4 qualification (Grade 12 / N3) with a recognised trade test certificate5 years post-trade test experience within a heavy industry environmentSupervisory experience as well as experience on SAP will be considered advantageousAdministrative / Management jobs
