Lifting Machinery Inspector

A dynamic mining manufacturer and supplier based in Rustenburg, North West is looking to employ a Registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) with 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Matric
• Valid Driver’s License
• Candidate must reside in the North West or be willing to relocate
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in the field
• Candidate must be in exceptional health
• All applicants should be able to pass a full medical including heat tolerance, lung function tests, as well as criminal and financial screening
• Good communication skills (verbal, written)
• Highly motivated, competent & energetic individual
• Pro-active individual with a positive “can-do” attitude
• Must have complete knowledge of lifting equipment
• On-site service and repairs to all makes of beams, electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks
• Installation and calibration of load limiting devices
• In-house strip and quotes to electric overhead cranes, electric rope hoists, electric chain hoists, mechanical chain-blocks, and lever blocks
• In-house proof load testing to beams, electric overhead travelling cranes, electric rope hoists, and chain hoists
• Modifications to upgrade electrical and mechanical units
• Client liaison, administration, and correspondence

Package & Remuneration

R 50 000 - R 60 000 Monthly plus medical aid and other benefits.
