Investment Officer

Job Description

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Investment Officer to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing investment strategies capital allocation initiatives and portfolio performance management. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a complex investment environment and can influence strategic decision-making at the highest level.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the optimisation of capital structure funding strategies and investment performance across the portfolio.
• Evaluate new investment opportunities and prepare investment proposals for committee review and approval.
• Drive transaction structuring investment execution and capital recycling initiatives to maximise returns.
• Develop financial models performance forecasts valuation analyses and strategic investment insights.
• Support investor relations activities shareholder engagement and market communications.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on investment performance market trends and growth opportunities.
• Oversee risk management governance compliance and reporting requirements relating to investment activities.

Requirements:

• Qualified CA(SA) and/or CFA qualification.
• Minimum 10 years post-articles experience.
• At least 3 years experience in a funding role within a corporate or investment banking environment.
• Minimum 3 years exposure within the real estate sector.
• Strong financial modelling valuation investment analysis and capital management expertise.
• Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders investment committees and executive leadership teams.
• Excellent commercial acumen analytical thinking and strategic decision-making skills.
