Cost Accountant

Minimum Requirements

• B.Com
• 5 years relevant experience
• Strong experience in product costing
• Background in mining, manufacturing or FMCG
• Audit experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate product costing
• Analyse production costs, variances and cost drivers
• Monitor and report on manufacturing and operational costs
• Perform cost analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions
• Prepare costing reports and provide meaningful financial insights
• Investigate variances and identify opportunities for improved cost efficiency
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Assist with audit requirements and ensure strong financial controls
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve costing accuracy and cost management
