About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee their significant mining operations near Rustenburg . This role demands strong leadership and a comprehensive understanding of all facets of mine production, safety, and efficiency. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds production targets. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
• Develop and implement production schedules and targets, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Champion and enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Supervise and mentor operational staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
• Demonstrated experience in open-pit or underground mining operations.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operational challenges.
• Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and best practices.
