POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Design and develop electrical systems for advanced engineering applications Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and harness designs Develop and maintain 3D electrical models and associated engineering documentation Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical design data Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements Manage engineering information within Product Data Management (PDM) systems Conduct concept evaluations, design reviews, and technical assessments Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and multidisciplinary engineering departments Skills & Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in Electrical Design Engineering Strong experience in electrical system design and integration Experience developing electrical schematics, wiring systems, and harness designs Proficiency in 3D CAD software; Siemens NX experience will be advantageous Experience with electrical schematic design software such as Mentor Graphics Vesys will be advantageous Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems Strong understanding of electrical components and system integration principles Qualification: BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
