About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized and accomplished Healthcare Architect to join their distinguished team in Benoni . This role focuses on designing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, requiring a deep understanding of the unique functional, regulatory, and patient-centered requirements of hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex healthcare facilities, adhering to specialized codes and standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff, administrators, and consultants to define functional programming and design requirements.
- Develop schematic designs, design development documents, and construction documents for healthcare projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accessibility standards, and infection control principles.
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines and other consultants specific to healthcare infrastructure.
- Oversee construction administration for healthcare projects, ensuring design intent is realized on site.
Requirements
- Professional Architect registration with SACAP.
- Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on healthcare facility design.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare planning principles, medical equipment coordination, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OHSC).
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including BIM (Revit) and relevant healthcare planning tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, balancing office-based work in Benoni with remote flexibility.
