Bank Teller Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Bank Teller Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their branch in Benoni . This leadership role involves supervising a team of tellers, ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing, and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for training new tellers, managing scheduling, resolving customer issues, and ensuring adherence to bank policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent cash handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and productive branch environment in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule bank tellers to ensure adequate branch coverage and service quality.
• Oversee daily branch operations, including cash management, transaction balancing, and security procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor teller performance and provide coaching to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including vault balancing and ATM replenishment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bank teller, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven experience in cash handling, balancing, and vault management.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and customer service principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
