About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Industrial Electrician to join their operations team in Rustenburg . This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within industrial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks, playing a vital part in maintaining productivity and preventing costly downtime. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to adhering to the highest safety standards in a demanding industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical motors, generators, control systems, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in industrial machinery and power supply systems.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet industry standards and safety codes specific to the North West province.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and implement corrective actions swiftly and safely.

Requirements

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with a recognized trade certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working with high-voltage industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand/power tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and relevant legislation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in the Rustenburg area.
