WatersEdge Solutions is hiring on behalf of a rapidly growing technology company that’s redefining how organisations manage their share incentive schemes. As their first Platform Engineer, you’ll take ownership of a robust, multi-cloud environment and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their infrastructure, reliability, and security operations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on opportunity to build and optimise platform reliability from the ground up. You’ll work closely with a small, high-performing engineering team, owning everything from uptime and scalability to disaster recovery and DevOps automation. This is the perfect role for someone ready to take charge, drive improvements, and grow into a leadership position as the platform scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability, performance, and monitoring across all production applications
• Manage and optimise Heroku pipelines, CI / CD flows, and production infrastructure
• Oversee cloud operations across AWS, DigitalOcean, and Heroku environments
• Run Celery workers and queues, enforce task health, and track service-level objectives
• Lead disaster recovery planning, penetration testing, and post-mortem processes
• Standardise and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, scripting, and automation
• Own security practices : encryption, IAM policies, MFA / SSO, and access reviews
• Build internal tools and dashboards to streamline developer workflows
• Centralise logging and observability with tools like Sentry, Papertrail, Prometheus, and
• APM
• Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and SaaS integrations
