Public Relations Manager

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Public Relations Manager to oversee their communications efforts in Benoni . This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing impactful PR strategies, managing media relations, and protecting and enhancing the company's reputation. You will lead a team in crafting compelling narratives and ensuring consistent messaging across all external communications. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to achieve organizational objectives.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key influencers.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, speeches, and other PR materials.
• Develop and implement crisis communication plans, acting as a key spokesperson when necessary.
• Monitor media coverage, analyze public sentiment, and report on PR campaign effectiveness.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of PR professionals to achieve departmental goals.
• Ensure brand messaging consistency across all external communications channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in public relations, with demonstrated success in managing PR functions and teams, preferably in the Benoni area.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic PR plans and manage crisis communications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong media relations skills and a wide network of media contacts.
• Experience with PR software and media monitoring tools.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
