Production Supervisor - Mining Operations

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily mining operations in Rustenburg . This leadership position is responsible for managing a team of miners, ensuring efficient extraction of resources, and upholding the highest standards of safety and productivity. You will play a crucial role in achieving production targets while adhering to environmental regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of mining processes, and a commitment to operational excellence within the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mining crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production schedules.
• Monitor operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure all mining equipment is operated safely and maintained in good working condition.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety culture on site.
• Manage resources, including personnel, equipment and materials, to meet production targets cost-effectively.
• Maintain accurate production records and submit timely reports to mine management.

Requirements

• A minimum of a relevant mining diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in mining operations, with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
• Sound knowledge of underground or open-pit mining methods, depending on the operation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
