Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of new mine developments and the optimization of existing operations.
• Develop and implement mine strategies, production plans, and capital expenditure budgets.
• Ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of mine engineers, surveyors, and geologists remotely.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical reviews for potential mining projects.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovative practices in the mining industry .

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in mine engineering and operations management, with significant leadership roles.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale mining projects from conception through to closure.
• Deep knowledge of open-pit and/or underground mining methods, equipment, and technologies.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control for mining operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, adept at remote team management.
