Industrial Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a proactive and analytical Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Optimization to join their expanding operations in Rustenburg . This role focuses on re-engineering and fine-tuning existing production and operational workflows to achieve peak performance, reduced costs, and enhanced product consistency. You will leverage data-driven insights and advanced engineering principles to identify bottlenecks, implement sustainable solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current operational workflows and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Design, develop, and implement optimized processes using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Create detailed process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance metrics.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective action plans.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed process changes before full implementation.
• Train and mentor operational staff on new processes and best practices to ensure sustainable improvements in Rustenburg .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in process modeling software and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage projects remotely.
