Senior Electrical Engineer - Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in automation to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will focus on the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated automation systems for industrial clients globally. You will leverage your expertise to drive efficiency, enhance productivity, and ensure the reliability of complex manufacturing processes. Operating from anywhere, you will collaborate closely with project managers, software developers, and clients to deliver state-of-the-art solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC/SCADA systems, including hardware selection, control logic programming, and HMI development.
• Specify and integrate industrial electrical components, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for automated systems.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting, diagnostics, and support for installed automation systems.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to define automation requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
• Implement and adhere to stringent safety standards and best practices in all aspects of automation design and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA software.
• Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP) and VFDs.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaunt effectively with clients.
