Insolvency Practitioner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Insolvency Practitioner to join their dedicated team in Rustenburg . This critical role involves managing corporate and personal insolvency cases, including liquidations, sequestrations, and business rescue proceedings. You will be responsible for investigating financial affairs, realizing assets, and distributing proceeds to creditors in compliance with relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities

• Investigate the financial affairs of insolvent individuals and companies.
• Manage and administer insolvent estates, including the identification, securing, and realization of assets.
• Conduct creditor meetings and provide regular reports to the Master of the High Court and creditors.
• Formulate and implement viable business rescue plans where appropriate.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Insolvency Act and Companies Act.
• Liaise with legal professionals, financial institutions, and other stakeholders involved in insolvency proceedings.

Requirements

• Qualified Insolvency Practitioner, with relevant legal or accounting qualifications (e.g., LLB, CA(SA), CPA).
• Proven experience in managing diverse insolvency and business rescue cases.
• Comprehensive understanding of insolvency law, corporate law, and related regulations in South Africa .
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills for assessing complex financial situations.
• Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
• Must be able to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in Rustenburg .
