Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload goods efficiently and securely.
• Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure timely service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of goods transported.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client queries professionally.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and damage to goods.
• Manage delivery schedules effectively, adapting to unexpected delays or changes.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the company vehicle.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10/14 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Professional driving experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Benoni, Gauteng and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25kg).
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proof of professional driving permits will be advantageous.
