About the Role

Our client, a respected clinic specializing in hair and scalp health in Benoni , is seeking a seasoned Senior Trichologist & Hair Restoration Consultant . This role is essential for diagnosing and treating a wide range of hair loss conditions and scalp disorders. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth client assessments, utilizing diagnostic tools, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing expert advice on hair restoration options, including medical treatments and surgical referrals. The ideal candidate possesses a profound understanding of hair biology, dermatological conditions affecting the scalp, and non-surgical interventions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed client consultations and scalp analyses using trichoscopy and other diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose a variety of hair loss conditions (e.g., alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium) and scalp disorders.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, including topical and oral therapies, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle recommendations.
• Provide expert consultation on non-surgical hair restoration options and coordinate referrals for surgical procedures when necessary.
• Educate clients thoroughly about their condition, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
• Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records.
• Stay current with the latest research, treatments, and technologies in trichology and hair restoration.
• Collaborate effectively with dermatologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor, fostering trust and rapport with clients.

Requirements

• Certification from a recognized Trichology association or equivalent advanced qualification in a related health science field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience specializing in trichology and hair loss consultations.
• Strong knowledge of hair and scalp physiology, dermatological conditions, and hair restoration techniques.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as trichoscopes and digital imaging systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Superb communication, interpersonal, and client counseling abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload in Benoni .
