About the Role

Our client, a regional supplier of consumer goods, is looking for a Local Delivery Driver to join their team based in **Benoni, Gauteng**. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to retail outlets and individual customers within the **East Rand** area. The ideal candidate will be a trustworthy, punctual, and customer-focused individual with a clean driving record and excellent knowledge of local roads. This full-time position requires someone who can manage their daily routes independently and maintain a professional image for the company. You will be a key part of the supply chain, ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service. We are seeking a dedicated driver who understands the importance of efficient logistics and excellent customer service in the **Benoni** and surrounding **Gauteng** regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Plan daily routes efficiently to cover the assigned service area.
• Load and unload products carefully, ensuring no damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures.
• Conduct daily checks on the delivery vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
• Assist with occasional stock taking or warehouse duties if needed.
• Report any delivery discrepancies or customer issues to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Valid Code 08 (B) or Code 10 (C1) driver's license.
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Proven experience as a local delivery driver.
• Good knowledge of **Benoni**, **Boksburg**, **Kempton Park**, and the broader **East Rand** area.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and carrying packages.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Must possess a valid South African identity document.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience.
