Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large-scale pharmaceutical datasets (e.g., clinical trial data, real-world evidence, omics data, manufacturing data).
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex data to inform decision-making in drug discovery, development, and commercialization.
  • Design and execute experiments for model validation and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with biologists, chemists, clinicians, and other domain experts to understand scientific questions and translate them into data science problems.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of data infrastructure, pipelines, and best practices within the data science team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and their applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of scientific rigor and innovation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply data science to solve critical business challenges and advance research objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data science or a related analytical role, with a significant portion focused on the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and experimental design.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and their relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas).
  • Experience with SQL and working with relational databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets from diverse sources.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling challenging scientific problems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical R&D processes and regulatory landscapes is highly desirable.

Benefits

Our client offers a highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including top-tier health, dental, and vision insurance, generous retirement contributions, and performance-based bonuses.
