FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY:
An Office Automation company based in Kyalami, Midrand is currently seeking a Financial Accountantreporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the integrity of the company's financial records, reporting processes, statutory compliance and financial controls. The successful candidate will oversee month-end reporting, reconciliations, audit preparation, cash flow reporting and support the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly financial close process and prepare management accounts. Maintain the general ledger, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations. Analyse financial results and investigate variances. Oversee debtor, creditor and billing reconciliations. Ensure accurate of recurring revenue, contracts and rental agreements. Assist with cash flow forecasting, and funding reporting. Prepare VAT reconciliations and support statutory compliance requirements. Coordinate annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors. Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany reconciliations. Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and system integrity. Support the with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis. Provide guidance and oversight to the administration team. Minimum Requirements Accounting, Finance or related qualification. Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred. 3-5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role. Strong management accounting and month-end reporting experience. Sound knowledge of IFRS, VAT and South African tax legislation. Advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting and ERP systems. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Advantageous Experience in office automation, leasing or recurring revenue businesses. Exposure to Sage Evolution, CO3 Nucleus or similar systems. Experience with funding facilities and banking relationships. Previous team supervision experience.
