About the Role Our client, a globally recognized leader in mineral exploration, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Exploration Geochemist to join their innovative and expanding team. This position is crucial for identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects through advanced geochemical analysis and interpretation. As this is a fully remote role, the ideal candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with field teams and management across different time zones. You will be instrumental in guiding exploration strategies by analyzing soil, stream sediment, rock, and drill core samples for geochemical signatures indicative of valuable mineral deposits. This role demands a rigorous scientific approach combined with the ability to translate complex geochemical data into actionable exploration recommendations. Key Responsibilities Design and implement geochemical sampling programs for various exploration phases. Analyze and interpret geochemical data from diverse sample media (soils, streams, rocks, etc.) using statistical and multivariate methods. Develop and validate geochemical exploration models and target generation strategies. Liaise with field geologists and project managers to provide geochemical support and guidance. Oversee and manage the flow of geochemical samples from field collection to laboratory analysis. Perform quality control and quality assurance on geochemical data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Prepare detailed geochemical reports, presentations, and target recommendations. Stay current with advancements in geochemical exploration techniques and instrumentation. Collaborate with external laboratories to ensure high-quality analytical results. Contribute to the overall exploration strategy and project planning. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geochemical exploration, preferably with a focus on base metals, precious metals, or critical minerals. Proficiency in geochemical data processing and visualization software (e.g., ioGAS, GCDKIT, GIS software). Strong understanding of statistical analysis, multivariate statistics, and GIS applications in geochemistry. Experience with various geochemical analysis techniques and their application in exploration. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration. Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and generate clear, concise recommendations. Familiarity with global mineral deposit models and their geochemical footprints. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines effectively.
