PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT / SAIPA ACCOUNTANT - CAPE TOWN - PERMANENT - 100% ON-SITE

Minimum Requirements :

BCom Financial / Management Accounting (SAIPA articles completed) - full SAIPA registration not mandatory, but might be beneficial.

Minimum 1 year post-articles experience highly advantageous!

Current SAIPA registration (highly advantageous).

Strong Excel skills (Draftworx and EpiCor - highly advantageous).

Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, income tax, and VAT.

RSA Citizens only.

No Criminal Record.

Highly detail-oriented with strong numeracy skills.

Confident with accounting software and reporting.

Assertive and professional demeanour is essential, while remaining friendly and accommodating in real circumstances.

A strong communicator and team player, and willing to learn.

Adaptable, reliable, and eager to problem-solve under pressure.

Key duties of the role :

Manage bank reconciliations, payments, and petty cash.

Handle creditors, debtors, provisions, and accruals.

Prepare monthly journals, trial balances, and management reports.

Support budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.

Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Ensure full tax compliance (VAT, payroll taxes) and liaise with SARS.

Compile annual financial statements in line with IFRS.

Monitor cash flow to ensure operational efficiency.
