Purpose of the Role
Responsible for designing, programming, configuring, commissioning, and maintaining control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) as well as selecting, integrating, and calibrating field instrumentation. You will lead or participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and prepare key technical documentation to support project delivery, handover, and operations.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation)
- B-Tech / BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering (Advantage)
- ECSA Candidate Membership (Advantage)
Required Skills
3-5 Years’ Experience in designing, programming, configuring, and commissioning PLC / DCS / SCADA systems (e.g. Schneider, Siemens, Allen Bradley)3-5 Years’ Experience in Design PLC Control Panels including Connection and Loop Diagrams. Select and integrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices for process automation.Hands-on experience with calibration and maintenance of field instrumentsExperience conducting FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup supportPreferred Skills
