Job descriptionLiaise with tenants and resolve building maintenance queries timeously. General management of tenant-landlord relationships. Build a good relationship with contractors. Ensure compliance with relevant Acts. Control, manage, and govern the processes and systems within the area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimize business risk. Identify training / development needs and pro-actively select effective solutions to address development gaps. Ensure that a personal development plan is developed and implemented. SAQCC on both handheld and detection. Driver's License. 3-5 years as a Fire Technician / Supervisor. Strong technical knowledge. Familiar with all systems and different products. Proficient communication both verbally and in writing. Excellent problem-solving skills. Implementation & compliance with all relevant acts. Proficient communication skills, written and verbal. Fire Protection Supervisor
The Fire Protection Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all servicing and compliance is in place throughout the portfolio with all Fire Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Management
- Oversees all fire related installations and maintenance throughout the portfolio.
- Day-to-day maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Completes assists / register reports.
- Supervision of external contractors, ensuring work is completed as per the quote.
- Completing adjudication cost for approval.
- Building inspections, ensuring compliance with all factors (fire escapes, staircases, fire panels, sprinkler, and hose systems etc.) including risk assessments.
- Able to complete small designs according to SANS 10400.
- Ability to complete small costs for projects and maintenance works needed.
- Able to work with an engineer and supervise contractors with engineer designs.
